Background information and customer requirements
Yangzhou Chemical Industry Park Industrial Sewage Treatment Comprehensive Improvement Project
Yangzhou Chemical Industrial Park is one of the top 20 chemical industrial bases in China and one of the two chemical industrial parks in Jiangsu Province included in the top 20. The park is home to a cluster of renowned domestic and international petrochemical giants, including Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fiber, PetroChina Kunlun Gas, Sinochem International, China Huadian Corporation, Praxair(USA), Bona(UK), Toray(Japan), Sumitomo Seika(Japan), Nippon Sanso(Japan), Kumho Asiana(Korea), Far Eastern Group(Taiwan), Oriental Union Chemical(Taiwan), Dalian Chemical Industry, Kingboard Holdings Limited(Hong Kong), Winbase(Zhuhai), Oxiranchem(Liaoning), and Yangnong Group(Jiangsu). It has initially formed a development trend with olefins, aromatics, salt chemical industry as the leading sectors, and petroleum chemical industry, fine chemicals, chemical new materials, and petrochemical logistics as the four major industrial clusters.
Solution
Yangzhou Qingshan Wastewater Treatment Plant in Yangzhou Chemical Industrial Park is responsible for treating the production wastewater from various chemical enterprises in the park. It has a designed capacity of 40,000 tons/day, with the first phase handling 20,000 tons/day and the second phase also handling 20,000 tons/day. The first phase was completed and put into operation in 2008. Due to the large number of chemical enterprises in the park, including pesticide, petrochemical, and fine chemical industries, the water quality is complex and highly toxic. With the continuous improvement of environmental requirements, the existing wastewater treatment plant was upgraded and renovated in stages, with the upgrades completed in June 2018 and January 2020. NJTECH Environment Technology is responsible for the overall contracting of the catalytic oxidation units throughout the system. The approach of classified collection and quality treatment utilizes the core multi-element collaborative catalytic oxidation and efficient, low-consumption catalytic ozone oxidation technologies from NJTECH Environment Technology. The design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation of the entire system, including the liquid oxygen system, oxygen generation system, ozone generation, catalytic oxidation, vent ozone destruction, and auxiliary facilities, have been completed.
